Are your kitchen and bathroom in need of an update with Onyx countertops
Maybe you’ve had the same countertops for years and the wear and tear are getting to be too much. Updating usually means giving your countertops a more modern and sleek look. Naturally, your first instinct will be to look at marble or granite countertops. Both of those natural stone materials are great and common options, but many people are starting to look at onyx countertops instead.

WHAT IS ONYX?
Onyx is formed from alternating color bands of chalcedony. It consists of fine bands of quartz and moganite, two silica minerals. Usually, onyx can be found in caves and is formed by the drippings of stalactites and stalagmites. Onyx is usually used in small pieces of jewelry, making onyx countertops a rarity.
If you’re looking for a very unique addition to the look of your kitchen or bathroom, an onyx countertop may be perfect for you. Onyx usually isn’t oriented in horizontal positionings, like in countertops, but it only adds to the uniqueness when used as countertops. The onyx material usually forms in swirling patterns in pastel shades.
ONYX COUNTERTOP INSTALLATION
Hiring the right company to install your new, unique onyx countertop can be difficult. Many companies will give you a quote for labor without even coming to your home to see what they’re dealing with. Here at King’s Granite and Marble, we believe that a proper quote can only be given after an inspection of the area. Once an inspection is completed, we know how much materials we’re going to need and how much labor there is actually going to be. Without an inspection, a quote can be misleading and you may unexpectedly end up paying more.
No one wants that. Our in-house inspection is completely FREE and we remove your old countertops free of cost, as well.
